Ewha Summer Studies Day #24 : Banpo Bridge x Hangang Cycling

Back to Day #24 of my time in Korea! We're finally closing into almost the end of my Summer Studies trip!! :(

First stop is as usual - lunch and we visited Hukusushi for lunch again haha.

I love their salmon sushi till death man <3

The crowd you will need to face at lunch hours if you do not come prepared with a reservation in advance. (3 seats were ours)

This time we decided to give their Avocado Roll a try as well and YX says it tastes good :)

I don't really like eating Avocados so yeah no comment cuz nth fair is gonna come out from me :/

After lunch, we went to take the subway to the Express Bus Terminal Station to get to Banpo Hangang Park to have a cycling session and chill by the Banpo Bridge to watch the Rainbow Fountain show.

And when we were at the station, we stumbled into the GOTO Mall which is situated at the Gangnam Terminal Underground Shopping Center and girl, there's TONNS of shops here and there are quite a few which have price tags that are so much cheaper than Ewha area!!!

Lots of clothing and accessories shop around here. And it stretches rather long on each lane!!

Skirts going at 1 for 10,000won!!! And there are a few designs which Ewha area have and they are going for around 24,000won there!!!

It's seriously very cheap here!!!

After we went through the entire underground shopping area, we then went on to go to Banpo Bridge.

Directions to Banpo Park:

Alight at Express Bus Terminal Station and take Exit 8-1. Go straight and turn right at the Express Bus Terminal 4-way intersection then continue to go straight until you see a crosswalk on the opposite and a small traffic light. Cross the traffic light and you'll see the underpass below.

Then go straight through the underpass and you'll arrive at the park.

This is the underpass you have to get through to arrive at the park. Do watch out for cars and bicycles as you reach a roundabout kind of road when you walk straight. The traffic can get a little messy around that area and I feel that it can be rather dangerous :/

Do take note that the Fountain Show does not operate in the winter period

The view is awesome to be honest. Breathtaking!

Then we went to get some food around the park before we rent some bicycles to cycle around Hangang :)

Bicycle renting shop!! We both rented a lady bike and its my first time riding a lady bike! It feels very lady and interesting HAHAHA

In Singapore, I would normally go for those mountain bikes that's why and I would end up with very painful bum at the end of it haha

Resting spots under the bridge(s). There are some bridges which do not have a resting spots though

I'm so glad that the weather on the day we were day was very nice and I cycled for about 20km (back and forth) I think hahaha 

If only Singapore have such nice cycling spots man sigh. East coast park is way too short compared to Hangang. I didn't even managed to finish the entire route at Hangang. Maybe next time I'll do it hahaha

Be sure to bring lots of water with you if you're planning to cycle here! Keeping yourself hydrated is really important! :)

YX is too scared to cycle anymore so she pushed the bike all the way haha

We stopped cycling at around 7pm and went to chill by the river to wait for the fountain show to start! :) Selfie while waiting haha

It feels really nice to chill with such nice sceneries after a cycling (workout) session hahaha

This was taken at the 8pm show and the sky is still bright at 8pm cuz of the Summer season so we didn't manage to see the colors of the fountain show very well so we decided to stay for the 8.30pm show so that we can catch a glimpse of the rainbow-ness of the show haha

8.30pm and the sky is all dark!

And that's when you see all the colors beautifully ^_^

Lots of people were gathered there by this time and there was even this guy who publicly proposed to his girlfriend during the show!!! 

The atmosphere was damn awesome seriously haha

After catching the 2nd show, we went back to the Gangnam Underground Shopping Mall to have dinner at Kimganae which is a fully hanshik (Korean) food restaurant as well :)

And as usual I had Kimchi Jjigae (Kimchi Stew) again haha. I can never get enough of Kimchi Stew :D

Cycling at Hangang is really awesome and relaxing because the sceneries are very breathtaking!! If you have the time during your trip in Seoul, I would definitely recommend you to take spend a day cycling at Hangang!!

But do check the weather forecast before you make your trip here because if the weather is not nice, you will not be able to fully enjoy the whole experience. (I checked the weather like mad every single day haha)
