Barashi-Tei

14:11:00

Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I've updated this blog and today I will be bringing you another guest blog entry by ma boy and he will be sharing with you a recent food tasting that him and I had the opportunity to go to hehe. All the pictures in this post are taken by him and the food was pretty awesome too! I'm sure you'll feel hungry after reading this post so keep on reading and enjoy!

-------------------------------------------------------

Hi, to all readers!! It had been quite sometime since I've written anything about food. This time, I will be sharing with you readers on Japanese food - Barashi-Tei! It is not very far from the nearest MRT station, and you can choose where you like to walk from - Dhoby Ghaut or Bras Basah. Wait... Isn't it located in the middle of town? Yea it definitely is and you can get a decent meal at a reasonable price!

Sounds good? I shall not hold you back and lets us have a look what good food they have:

Barashi Tei Food Review Avocado Salmon Salad Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Avocado Salmon Salad - $13.80
The avocado is tasty, soft, not like the one you got it from other places which are hard. The salmon is cooked just nice, each bite can feel the meat texture of salmon.

Barashi Tei Food Review Salad Sashimi Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Salad Sashimi - $13.80
Who loves Sashimi? If you like it, you should come and try this! The sashimi is fresh (try it and you will agree) and the meat is very chewy. Every bite makes me want more ><

Barashi Tei Food Review Dragon Maki Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Dragon Maki - $8.80
Dragon? The name is Awesome and so is the dish! It just melts in your mouth when u put it in and chew. It has both avocado and fish topping which makes it tastier. The fish topping is juicier compared to avocado. Does that mean that the fish are all fresh? Let check out the rest and find out.

Barashi Tei Food Review Spicy Salmon Maki Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Spicy Salmon Maki - $12.80
HOT!! Just kidding! The spiciness is just a little bit, like tingling feeling in your mouth. The crispy of the seaweed can be felt with the wrap. The mentai on top is creamy too. One of my personal favourite! (Luna: I HAVE to make a comment on this maki haha. It is seriously BOMB!!! You have to try it! I love it totally haha)

Barashi Tei Food Review Rice Paper Ebi Maki Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Barashi Tei Food Review Rice Paper Ebi Maki Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Barashi Tei Food Review Rice Paper Ebi Maki Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Rice Paper Ebi Maki - $10.80
I had always thought that Ebi had a hard shell which I am not wrong but in this case, I am surprised! The Ebi is crispy and has a soft (skin). The wrap is also easily bitten off which make nibbling much easier. The sauce is creamy too.

Barashi Tei Food Review Aburi Bara Chirashi Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Aburi Bara Chirashi - $16.80
The rice is from japan itself! The pearl rice just tastes so different from the normal rice we had. The rice is also mixed with some sauce to make it tastier. I can just eat the rice itself without feeling it is plain! The fish roll is big and fresh!!! When put in your mouth, it just burst! OMG, the fish roe is also fresh! looks like all the fish dishes are fresh!

Barashi Tei Food Review Chirashi Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Barashi Tei Food Review Chirashi Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Chirashi - $23
The sashimi is thicker and juicer when to compare to the salad. Tamago is just very soft like cheese when you bite but hard looking on the outside. The exterior taste like anywhere else, but the interior, it just melts in your mouth. It is one of a kind.  The rice is much plainer because of the sashimi. You will not want your rice extra taste to spoil the taste of the sashimi.

Barashi Tei Food Review Sirloin Steak Foie Gras Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Sirloin Steak Foie Gras - $19.80
Looks nice, isn't it? I wish I can tell you the taste but I can't as I don't eat beef. >< Maybe you try and let me know? :)

Barashi Tei Food Review Gindara Nabe Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Gindara Nabe - $24
The soup is very sweet and rich in flavor. The veggie inside is soft too. The fish in it is very sweet too. All the food in this dish is just sweet! I just feel like the taste of this dish is very special. It is like the dish had been boiling for some time to let the veggies and the meats release the flavor into the soup.

Barashi Tei Food Review Red Bean Spring Roll Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Barashi Tei Food Review Red Bean Spring Roll Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Red Bean Spring Roll - $3.80
Crispy & sweet, just like any spring roll. The only difference is the skin of the spring roll is cool, but the red bean inside is still warm, as though it had a warm blanket covering it.

Barashi Tei Food Review Tomato Bacon Kushi Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Tomato Bacon Kushi - $1.80
The bacon is warm and crispy and the cherry tomatoes make the whole taste more balanced and less heavy which commonly happens when tasting meat.

Barashi Tei Food Review Ika Teriyaki Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Barashi Tei Food Review Ika Teriyaki Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Ika Teriyaki - $13.80
When I eat squid, I am always thinking if this is going to taste rubbery or not. Luckily, in Barashi-Tei, Ika is not rubbery as i fear. The meat is cooked till it is soft and chewy. Together with the Teriyaki sauce topping, it just makes the dish much tastier.

Barashi Tei Food Review Yuzu Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog
Yuzu (hot) - $3.80
The drink I chose is Yuzu. It comes in nice and warm, not too sweet, not too sour. Just the taste it should be. (Luna: And I love it! <3 haha)

-------------------------------------------------------

That is the end of this post!! :) I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I've enjoyed their food! Definitely do check out their Spicy Salmon Maki because it's damn worthwhile and delicious! :)

There are tons of hair care, clothing, accessories trends for women and they keep on changing well within a 6 months to a yearlong span. So if you have hopped on to the bandwagon a little later there is a chance you will be regretting it sooner as the trend you picked up on would slowly transform into something else. However, this is also a nuisance for women who do not get enough time to catch up on things quickly but to mend your heart there is a very concrete reality that,’ Everything that makes you look and feel confident is what really Fashion is about’. It doesn’t really matter if you are actually following the latest trend or not. For trendy hair lovers and for women who are always in a look out to try out new things over and over again it is a treat that there’s so much to look out for over the internet and here we are sharing with you the top 5 Red Ombre Hair Trends. Red is the color of hotness, festivity, love and sexiness, but at the same time it brings a certain level of confidence in the women who are bold enough to flaunt it with pride. 1. BLACK TO RED OMBRE HAIR:

Black is probably the most common hair color across the globe. Even if not the most common naturally occurring hair color but women actually often revert back to having jet black hair as it is more like a sign of youth and vitality. So when it comes to driving a combination of Red Ombre hair from Black hair, it gives way to not only a very sexy Ombre result but also gives a very striking appeal to the overall personality. Black to Red Ombre hair can be applied to any hair length, long, medium or short. Even for pixie cut but the technique used cannot necessarily be pure Ombre.

[Guest Blog] Krabi Retreat

21:52:00
Hey everybody, today I'll be bringing you a very special guest to blog about his recent trip to Krabi, Thailand and he is MA BOY!!! HAHAHA

His photos from Krabi have been receiving many positive comments especially when they're just taken solely by an iPhone! I myself are very impressed as well :)

So we thought, why not blog about it? And have him blog about it personally too!! Haha we both feel that it's nice to have a different voice on this blog occasionally :)

This is my first time having somebody blogging on my blog and his first time blogging too hehe!

He actually wanted me to edit his language but I find that if I were to really edit it, it'll lose a lot of his writing colors so 95% of what he has blogged is unedited :) I'll add in some comments along the way to provide a little more details and also some of my point of view as an audience? haha

So sit back, relax and enjoy some Krabi and I'll now hand it over to ma boy :)
