Today, let's throwback to Day 23 of my time in Korea!! :) The highlight of today is cafe hopping!!!
But first stop is lunch at this new restaurant called 니뽕내뽕 Nipongnaepong in our area with our classmates hahaha
But sadly, I lost my group selfies for this meal :( sighhh
Anyhoo let's move on to the foooooood
This place was recommended by Liyana and they are well known for their variety of Jjambong as well as their super thin pizzas!! :)
Tae-bong, Thailand-style Jjambong :)
Yil-bong, Japanese-style Jjambong :) This one is YX's order and it is non-spicy but the seafood taste is rather overwhelming in my opinion.
The one I got is Cha-bong, Chinese-style Jjambong and it's ULTRA SPICY people. ULTRA SPICY!! I can literally feel heat coming out from my ears! And the spiciness level that I've chosen was LEVEL 1 only and yet it's already that spicy!!! I cannot imagine other levels man!!
Their pizzas are really the BOMB!!! You have to order this if you come to this restaurant! You have to!! The one we had is their Ni Pizza :)
After lunch, me and Liyana went out to start our cafe hopping and the first cafe we came to is a newly opened cat cafe in Ewha called Table A!!
The beverages that they sell here are very reasonably priced compare to the ones served at Bauhouse (dog cafe) and they taste very good!! (Y)
Usually I prefer dogs over cats but because this cafe is still new, all the felines here are still kittens and they are terribly cuteeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
I call this one Master White. What an epic facial expression man hahaha
And they absolutely love to play <3
This picture would have been awesome if it wasn't blur!!! Love the expression on this kitty!! :D
So cute to see the kitties getting their fur brushed too!!
We spent a good 2 hours in there playing with the kitties hahaha. They are too cute to resist!
After we left the cat cafe (reluctantly), we went to hunt for this Rilakkuma cafe that we managed to find on google and had to come give it a visit cuz Rilakkuma is so cuteeeeeeee hahaha
Directions to the Rilakkuma / Capicapiloomloom cafe:
Alight at Sungshin Women's University station and come out from Exit 1. Then walk straight and turn right when you see KB Bank :) After that you'll see a road that looks like this:
Then continue to walk straight until you reach a big T-junction and look on your left, you'll see a view similar to the one below. Cross the road, turn left and walk straight and you'll see the cafe along the road :)
On the way to the Rilakkuma cafe, we discover a few clothes shops that have prices that are much lower than Ewha area's shops!!! I was pretty surprised because Ewha's clothes are considered very cheap already compared to many areas in Seoul.
Entrance of the Rilakkuma Cafe!! It is a lot smaller than what we thought though
And the cafe is filled with Rilakkumas!!!!!! <3<3<3
Menu mostly in Korean! They do have an English menu but only with the more expensive stuffs listed on it so be prepared.
Rilakkumas everywhere for a hug hehe
Me and Liyana both got ourselves some Gelato Ice Cream #nomnom
I almost wanted to buy this super kawaii neck rest but think over, I probably wouldn't need it so I resisted my temptation haha
After spending sometime chilling in the Rilakkuma cafe, we then went to Garosugil to walk around :)
Garosugil is one of the areas recommended in the tourist guide books so I was curious how it looks like! The things here aren't cheap so I didn't managed to get anything here.
They have a huge Forever 21 outlet here!
And this shop's (opposite of Forever 21) exterior decor is super unique seriously! Had to take a picture of it haha
We then encounter Leesang's restaurant as we anyhow walk around the area!
We didn't even know that the restaurant is located here haha. I actually wanted to give the food a try but after seeing the price tags of the food, nahhhh hahaha
The prices are much higher than Gary's other restaurant which is called Po Cha Mak Chang I believe (not very sure though ><).
After wandering around Garosugil, we went to Dongdaemun for some shopping!! :)
Around dinner time, we googled for some good and cheap food around Dongdaemun and the Dongdaemun Grilled Fish Street came up!! (Grilled fish is also known as Saengson-gui) :D
The fish is really good guys!! There are a couple of different kinds of fishes on the menu and I can't really remember which one I ordered but nonetheless, all of them look damn delicious and they are damn delicious so you should give them a try when you're in Dongdaemun shopping hahaha
I will definitely visit this street again in future when I visit Korea! :)
For directions to the Grilled Fish Street, you can refer to this blog which I've visited when I was looking for directions to the place during my trip. ^_^ She has a very detailed direction posted (Y)
And that concludes Day #23 of my time in Korea!! :)
We went quite a lot of places today but it was very fulfilling hahaha
Till next time!!~~
