Omg I can't believe it that 2014 is gonna be over in less than 24 hours!!
It's time for some reflection and new year's resolution!! It is always nice to have something to look back to when you're older so that you don't forget those memories :)
This year has been a very busy but fulfilling one cuz it has been all about mugging during school times and of course my Summer Studies in Korea and me turning 21 is my best times and highlight of this year!!
It's a new year again! (In the Chinese calendar though haha)
So I would like to wish everybody a Happy Chinese New Year!!! ^.^
Hong bao gun gun lai ahh!!! HUAT AHH!!! :)))
Although it's big festive season now, I still have a lot of school work that I need to catch up and honestly speaking, it's really tiring and taxing but I've got not choice. Sigh Chinese New Year also need to mug ahhh. Sobs
Time really flies and tomorrow it's gonna be 2014 already! 2013 has been a really fast year for me and I can't believe it's gonna be over so soon already! And since a new year is beginning soon, it's time for some new year's resolution and reflection!!
After living in hall for approximately 3 months, I would like to share a tip on what I found and do to prepare a meal for myself. Whenever I'm too lazy to walk more than 20 steps out to buy food from my hall's canteen, I always cook (microwave to be exact) food for myself at the pantry.
I am very lazy when it comes to cooking because I hate dish washing. I also don't like to wait very long at the stove for my meal to be cooked (even though the food I always eat are either instant porridge / noodles) so microwaving is the only solution because I can go back to my room and do other stuffs first before going back to the pantry again to collect the food.
And when I first started to microwaving instant porridge and/or noodles, it ends up like this:
I don't know if this only happens to me or what but it really looks quite disgusting and unappealing. Most importantly, it's EXTREMELY HARD to wash because the food content just won't stop overflowing!!! (Probably cuz my hall's microwave is too sucky already)
So, I decided to get this microwave bowl over here!!!
In this week's experimenting of cooking at hall, me and roommate decided to cook Korean Ramen for our dinner!! Very nice actually haha warm and cozy :) This time round we didn't invite anyone over to our room though
Here are some of the ingredients that we have:
Korean Ramen a.k.a. instant noodles, leftover sausages, fish balls and meat balls from last week's Mini Steamboat as well as KIMCHI!!!
Me and ma boy on our way to NTU RAC Installation Night 2013 on Friday haha. Thought of inviting him over (even though he's not in NTU yet) cuz he used to be in RAC as well, so maybe can hang out hang out a little if he managed to see any familiar faces haha :)
My room mate and I decided to put our cooking skills to a test on this one fine day. :)
So, we decided to make fried rice from scratch for our dinner at our hall's pantry cuz we thought it's rather manageable haha
And so here's all our ingredients that we bought and brought (actually I didn't bring anything, she brought some over haha >_< a little guilty. But! I'll bring some over to hall this weekend de haha).
Today I went to check into my hall in NTU and the feeling of school is gonna start soon is really kicking in. I'm feeling really nervous and kinda a little stress about the workload and etc that's about to come. But then again. It's all about life. It's a threshold that I've gotta get through no matter what and my life is definitely gonna change quite a lot I guess.
Life always changes as I get into new environments. From secondary school to poly and all the worries during my poly days that I get because I was damn worried that I might not get into a local university as with my family financial status, I absolutely cannot go into a private uni. And right now, at this moment, I'm with NTU and my university life is gonna start. It's quite unbelievable and yet at the same time believable. HAHA complex emotions.
I will probably write about my life as a NTU student as well as my life in NTU from now on once in a while :)
P.S.: Ma boy finally passed his IPPT haha ^^ *clap clap* must maintain okay! hahaha
