Recently, I had another session of treatment with Simply Aesthetics and this time I underwent for the Oxycious Facial Treatment which I will be reviewing in this blog post.
This facial treatment is very different from what I've experienced before in the past. Let's check it out together. :)
Before I start, here is how my skin looked before the facial.
I was having a big headless pimple at my chin area on the day of my facial. Ugh.
Now let's start off with the facial~~
Step 1 of the facial : Cleansing
Like any other facial treatment, you'll need to start off with cleansing so as to remove all the surface impurities and / or make up off your skin before moving on to the treatment.
Step 2 : Bubble Exfoliation
This bubble exfoliation further removes any impurities as well as soften impurities that are harder to remove such as black and white heads so that extraction will be easier and less painful.
When the bubble is applied onto your face, you'll feel a tingling sensation as the bubble foams up which is pretty interesting haha. The more bubble and foam you get, it means the more impurities your skin has.
Step 3 : Melting Mask
This mask helps to further soften and melt impurities so as to prep your skin well before and help to reduce the amount of pain you'll need to endure during extraction later on.
Step 4 : Machine Peeling
This method of peeling is very similar to Diamond Peeling but much more hydrating as water are being sprayed out when the impurities are being sucked out from the pores. Cool yeah!!!
This procedure is not painful but there will be tugging actions involved so if you experience uncomfortness, please do highlight it to your aesthetician. :)
Step 5 : Extraction
Like any other extraction that I've gone through in the past, it is painful just that not as painful as other facials I've done in the past. This is because the extraction is done with the help of the machine which prevents over exertion of strength unlike hand extractions. If your skin is being squeezed too hard, it can cause scars to be left behind when your skin heals so using just the right amount of pressure is a very important factor. Therefore, machine extraction is less painful as compared to hand extraction.
However, when it comes to my nose area, it is still quite painful because my nose area is very sensitive as compared to the rest. >_<
My aesthetician also ensures that my skin stays well hydrated by covering it with cotton pad that is soaked with toner after extraction is completed section by section just like what you see above. :) I like that she ensures my skin is remains well hydrated at all times! ^_^
Step 6 : Oxy Spray
Oxy spray stands for oxygen spray in short and the main function of it is to soothe as well as hydrate the skin after extraction has been done. The spray is seriously damn soothing and comfortable and I love it!!! :))
Step 7 : Double Hydration Mask.
The reason why it is called a double mask is because a base mask is first applied before the blue hydrating and soothing mask is being applied on top of it :D
It is a very nice and soothing mask and along with the comfort of the hydro bed that Simply Aesthetics uses, I fell asleep in no time hahaha.
Step 8 : Wrap up
The last step before the end of the facial is applying of toner, moisturizer and sunscreen to keep my skin well hydrated and UV protected. :)
Here is the end result my skin :) There are some red spots going on here and there because of the extraction but they all healed up in just a few days without leaving any scars behind. My skin also feels a lot lighter and smoother after the facial.
Overall, I love the extraction efficiency of this facial and the point where they take skin hydration into account in every single steps of the facial, it is very thoughtful and I really enjoy it. :)
