Recently I had the opportunity to attend a food tasting event at ParaThai, which is a new addition to Paradise Group's list of restaurants. As one of my favourite restaurants, Paradise Dynasty, is from Paradise Group as well, I've had quite a high expectation for ParaThai. >_<

Let's find out if ParaThai has met my expectation! :)

First, let's start off with beverage! :)

ParaThai Thai Iced Tea Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Thai Iced Tea (SGD$4.20)

I was very surprised when the tea was served because you can clearly three different layers!! It consists of Thai tea leaves, brown sugar, gula melaka (coconut sugar), carnation milk and syrup!! Cool lehh!! :)

Once thoroughly stirred, the tea would look like this :) It's very fragrant but at the same time very sweet which is nice when you first drink it but as time past, I find the sweetness gets accumulated and overpowering. Definitely a must try but I will certainly request for lesser sugar added in my next visit >_<

ParaThai Pandan Leaf Rice Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Pandan Leaf Rice (SGD$1.20)

First off we have Pandan Leaf Rice!! The rice is slightly greenish and has a very fragrant taste to it :)

ParaThai Homemade Minced Pork in Rice Noodle Wrap Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle BlogParaThai Homemade Minced Pork in Rice Noodle Wrap Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Homemade Minced Pork in Rice Noodle Wrap (SGD$6.90 for 4 pieces)

Yummy minced meat with rice noodle wrap that has a tinge of sweetness for appetizer. Nice!! :DD

ParaThai Homemade Pandan Leaf Chicken Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Homemade Pandan Leaf Chicken (SGD$8.90 for 4 pieces)

I personally find this chicken oily but yet a little dry on the inside. Fragrant but...didn't make it to my favourite list though.

And I ended up having another bowl cuz one bowl of shiokness is just not enough hahahhaa

This Tom Yam Goong is a must-try people!!

ParaThai Steamed Seabass with Lime and Chilli Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Steamed Seabass with Lime and Chilli (SGD$29.90)

The fish meat is fresh, soft, tender with a tinge sweetness hidden in the sourness and spiciness from the lime and chilli :)

ParaThai Crying Tiger BBQ Beef Steak served with Homemade Sauce Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

"Crying Tiger" BBQ Beef Steak served with Homemade Sauce (SGD$16.90)

As usual for beef, I can't give you my opinion on it but according to the other foodies that were there, they said that the meat was chewy haha

ParaThai Traditional Thai Green Curry Chicken Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Traditional Thai Green Curry Chicken (SGD$12.90)

It is the best to have the Green Curry together with the pandan leaf rice!! It gives a whole new spice and fragrance altogether :) Love it <3

ParaThai Stir-Fried Mini Asparagus with Egg Beancurd and Mushroom Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Stir-Fried Mini Asparagus with Egg Beancurd and Mushroom (SGD$12.90)

It's good to have some crunchy Asparagus to balance out your diet along with all the protein from the meat hahaha. :)

ParaThai Stir-Fried Pork with Basil Leaves Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Stir-Fried Pork with Basil Leaves (SGD$11.90)

Another dish that goes very well with rice! A just-nice spicy level with a flavourful taste along with the basil ^_^

ParaThai Roast Duck in Red Curry with Pineapple Leaves Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Roast Duck in Red Curry with Pineapple (SGD$14.90)

This dish is slightly more spicy than the green curry in my opinion but the roast duck brings out a heavier flavor with a tinge of sweetness form the pineapple. :)

ParaThai Sweet Tapioca with Coconut Milk Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Sweet Tapioca with Coconut Milk (SGD$4.90)

I'm personally not a big fan of tapioca because my stomach gets easily bloated when I have tapioca or glutinous rice and any other heavy / filling ingredients. This dish will be suitable as a dessert if you don't order too much main dishes.

ParaThai Deep-Fried Banana Fritters served with Honey Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Deep-Fried Banana Fritters served with Honey (SGD$5.90)

Crispy and natural slight sweetness from the banana! Along with an additional layer of sweetness with the honey, it makes this dessert more yummy :)

ParaThai Mango Sticky Rice served with Coconut Milk Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Mango Sticky Rice served with Coconut Milk (SGD$6.90)

Not a big fan of sticky rice in general so no comment on that but the mango was fresh and sweet :) The bomb is the next one coming!

ParaThai Red Ruby served with Jackfruit and Coconut Milk Food Review Lunarrive Singapore Lifestyle Blog

Red Ruby served with Jackfruit and Coconut Milk (SGD$5.90)

My favourite dessert among all is definitely this red ruby!! It's my first time that I've ever tasted rubies that are crunchy and furthermore, these red rubies are handmade every single day and therefore, there is a limited number of bowls which they can sell everyday. That's not all! The coconut milk has a flowery hint of flavour to it too which makes it very different from normal red rubies!! Seriously major major love and I'm definitely going back for more of this red ruby :D

---------------

That's all to this food review! It's been a sumptuous meal and most of the dishes I would have to say met my expectations haha. My absolute favorite definitely has to go to the Tom Yam Goong for main course and Red Ruby for dessert! #omnomnomnom ^_^
