Hello everybody! I'm back with my hormonal breakout part 2 (with more pics of my gross zits though, sorry!) !!!
Unlike my previous post, Part 2 will be about my acne treatment routine which is more effective but require a longer period of time to apply so I only do this when I really have the time to spare.
The products I use for this routine are all purchased during my haul in Korea back in January. I will also be reviewing the products that I will be mentioning in this post! So read on!! :)
Ugly zit and marks there ughhhhh
-----------------------
The first product of my (long) acne treatment routine is the Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask which has been featured on my How to Spend Your Valentine's post before!!
This clay mask helps to exfoliate and remove the impurities inside the pores (and acne) as well as dead skin cells also so that your skin will be able to absorb your skincare better afterwards.
I've been using this product for more than 6 months now and yet I've only finished about 1/3 of the 100ml!! Seriously a little goes a long way for this product! Extremely worth the money $$$! :)
While I was doing my research on this product before I went to Korea to purchase it, I've actually seen other bloggers applying this mask onto their eye area as well which I would not recommend at all because this mask is an exfoliating mask and I do not think our delicate eye area should have any contact with such products (it might cause wrinkles man!!).
Sigh my skin is in a very bad state seriously. Look at all those uneven textures and (big & small) zits man! :(
Open pores here and there
After about 20 minutes, I'll wash off the mask in an upward motion which helps in the prevention of sagging!
As you can see from the pictures above, my face gotten kinda red especially on my cheeks after using the super volcanic mask so what I like to do next is to apply 2 pads of the Innisfree Green Persimmon Pore Pad on to the areas which I have redness and large pores so as to calm them down ASAP!! :)
This product has green persimmon extracts which is beneficial in terms of tightening up pores and controls excessive sebum as well!
However, personally, I find that it does help to tighten up my pores (just by a liiiiittle bit) but I did not witness any sort of reduction in sebum production.
This pore pad has to be kept in the refrigerator before usage! A light snowflake symbol will appear once the product is cold enough to be used! :) Pretty interesting!
It comes with a tweezer as well for you to take out the pads from the tub! (Y)
After having my pores all tightened up and slightly calmed, it's time to calm down my entire face even further with a chilled face mask sheet! A chilled mask sheet helps to tighten your pores and at the same time soothes your face which is perfect when you are having painful and/or itchy zits!
There are many different kinds of face masks sheets out there from tonns of brands but I love Innisfree's face mask sheets the most!
Their face mask sheets are gentle and hydrating at the same time but most importantly, it fits my face shape the best among all the brands I've tried before! Innisfree's mask sheet is the only one that I do not have to worry that it might drop off from my face on it's own if I were to not pay attention to it. *Thumbs upupup!!*
Among all the flavours that Innisfree has for their face masks sheet, my top 2 favourite is the Green Tea & Rice flavour.
I major love the Green Tea flavour one as it's really super soothing and hydrating! Moreover, for some reason, the sheet that comes along in the Green Tea one fits my face much better than the rice one which is kinda odd considering that they both are produced from the same brand.
However, the Rice one smells extremely nice and that's why I like it a lot too! :)
The one I'm using this time round is the Rice one which I've gotten recently from my Summer Studies trip!
(Cannot smile when doing any sort of mask to say no to wrinkles!!)
That's the end of my acne treatment routine!
Whenever after I do this routine, my acne will be much calmer and (usually) smaller the next day! :)
You can always apply acne spot treatment cream after the face mask sheet to further treat the acne but I would prefer to leave it as it is and let my pores absorb all the nutrients from the mask sheet before I whack in the spot treatment cream the next morning haha.
I really major love the Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask and face mask sheets from Innisfree as they really work very well on my skin and I've been seeing good results from using them! 5/5 for the both of them and I highly recommend to everybody! I'll definitely repurchase them again once I'm done with my current ones. :D
However, I most probably would not purchase the Green Persimmon Pore Pad again as it's pretty pricey because one tub only comes with 40 pads and not to mention, the deliverables aren't as good as the clay mask and mask sheets!! But it was worth a try though cuz of the calming effect and the fast application through the help of the pads! I would give it a 3.5/5!
I hope this routine will be able to help you guys in the fight against breakouts and do share with me your acne treatment routine as well in the comment box below too!! ^^
I would love to try them out as you guys may have known from my previous hormonal breakout post (do check it out if you have not! :D), my acne are very adaptive in nature (sadly) so I'm in constant search of ways to battle them!
GOODBYE BREAKOUT AND I HOPE YOU DON'T VISIT ANY OF US AGAIN! *Peace sign*
