Recently, I went for Laneige's Brighten Up Preview Party which was held at the newly renovated mall called Robinsons Orchard!! It used to be called The Heeren but I guess business wasn't going very well so the whole building became Robinson's.
Fret not guys, I will blog about the Preview Party soon :)
Anyway! When I was waiting for the event to start (I reached too early ><), I happened to pass by this restaurant called Gyoza-Ya!!
It's pretty interesting looking and price wise was rather okay considering that it's located at such an A-TAS(high class) mall, you get what I mean haha
So I told ma boy about this restaurant and we decided to visit and give it a try the next day! :)
The moment we sat down at our table, 6 sauces were placed in front of us and we were kinda bewildered by all the sauces haha.
And also, they have this special type of ramen called JyaJya Men which sounds like Korean's Jja Jang Myeon!! And in fact it is rather similar to it just that over here, you get to choose the amount of white vinegar and chili oil you wanna add into the noodles :)
A guide is provided as well to show you how to enjoy the best taste of JyaJya Men!
Really super Japanese haha
This is the JyaJya Miso Sauce! You're suppose to add it if you find the Miso Sauce that they have already put in the noodles is not strong enough for your taste and when the soup is added into your noodles!
Chili Oil!
White Vinegar!
I'm quite surprised that they provide self-service water service and it's FOC!!
Many restaurants don't do that here in Singapore! Hopefully more restaurants will take up this service in future! :)
This is how the JyaJya Men looks when it's first served!!
Busy mixing in the sauces!
And adding in the egg only when you're close to finishing your noodles! I added in way too early haha >_< After you've added in your egg, ask the waiter for the soup to be added into your noodle to complete the meal :)
Oh and the egg is half boiled!! I initially thought it was going to be hard boiled! It's so interesting haha :)
Sui Gyoza with Pork!!
Yaki Gyoza with Pork! :)
The Yaki Gyoza tastes better than the Sui Gyoza in my opinion as it's crispier and has a stronger taste and flavor in it! :)))
Personally, I don't really like the JyaJya Men as the taste don't suit me quite well maybe cuz I'm not used to it! :/ But the gyoza they serve are awesome! :) And they are only SGD$4.80 per plate (6 dumplings per plate) !!! It's considerably cheap! :O
The next time I go to this restaurant again, I'm gonna try out their Garlic Fried Rice and of course Gyoza again! :)
