Hello everybody!! I'm finally back to blogging after the super long exam period!!! ^_^
Today I will be sharing with you guys how you can recycle and repurpose your clothes!! :)
Few weeks back, I was invited to a hands-on workshop hosted by Clothes Call along with Shermaine and Hazel!! :)
Just a little background info, Clothes Call is a campaign committed to reducing Singapore's increasing textile waste and aims to bring about awareness on textile waste and the various methods of repurposing.
There are many ways which you can repurpose your clothes and even tote bags but today I will be introducing you very simple technique and that is:
Fabric Stamping

The most important one is definitely fabric paints to get the color onto the fabrics!

After which, you can cut out patterns from fabrics and paste them on wooden blocks for stamping! :)

And this glue is highly recommended for sticking fabrics (Y)

You can make use of corks, marbles and even rubber bands to achieve many different designs :)

You can also use household tools to roll the designs onto the fabrics too!! ^^

Start stamping yo hahaha!

To be really honest with you, I'm not an artsy person at all so I couldn't think of much fancy designs and I ended up decided to stamp on ma boy's name and gift this shirt to him hahahahahaha

I'm so glad the results turns out really nice hehe
After stamping on the prints, you can use hair dryer to quicken up the paint drying process or just let it air dry if time permits! :)
And that is the end product hehe!!! I major like it and ma boy likes it as well hahaha
Fabric stamping can be a good way for you to DIY gifts and at the same time you can help save the Earth by using the fabrics that you have that are lying around in your closet ^_^
Start changing instead of binning them! :D
