Today, I'm here to share with you guys my experiences at Club Meatballs x The Entertainer Dinner Blogger Event that I was invited to last week! ^_^ A big thank you to The Entertainer for inviting me to this event and giving me the opportunity to meet and interact with other bloggers as well as share with you guys some good food and dining experiences you know you know!! hahaha
Anyway before I start I have to say this first, it's not that I can't share with you guys good food experiences without blogger event invitations, but there is a limitation as to how much and what type of dining experiences I can share and review about because being a full-time student, I do not have much income (only from part-time job ><) and reviewing restaurants can be rather taxing for somebody like me. T_T
Hence, I'm very thankful for all the opportunities I am given to be able to share good stuffs to my readers! ^_^
~~~Let's get started~~~
Here is the menu of the restaurant!
As for the interior decor, the atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy, comfortable and with a bit of spice at the bar counter for people who would like to have a drink! :)
The restaurant has this special corner for diners with larger pax number so that they will be able to enjoy some privacy and comfort away from the hustle and buzz going on outside in the main area when dining at Club Meatballs! :)
They also have two more special areas for special events and occasions!
The first one is called Club House that has a juice kiosk for people to meet and work or host events in this area :)
I find that this part of the Club House is really uniquely with the chairs haha. Interesting!
There was an event under preparation when we were being introduced to the Club House ^_^
And for the second special area is this House of HAY with BW Furniture where the theme is a chic and modern office environment! :)
Just like the Club House, this area is catered for events and balls for people who like a more modern vibe as compared to a traditional ballroom. :)
Now moving on to the DRINKS!!! (Food coming don't worry haha)
Cocktail & Mocktail! :)
The left hand side is Espresso Martini ($17) which consists of Single Origin of the day, Kahlua & Vodka! :) I didn't managed to try this drink personally though because I cannot take coffee. (It gives me gastric problems :/)
But the mocktail on the right is very nice! :) Sweet & refreshing (Y)
I'm really sorry, but I do not know the name of this mocktail because it was specially made and wasn't on the menu for the event. >_< You can show this pic to the waiter if you would like to try this mocktail (must try man, it's really nice (Y)) haha
This cocktail over here is what I had haha! It's called Gin Basil Smash ($17) which consists of Gin, Basil and Lemon. :) It is the sweetest among the cocktails that was on the menu of the night and that's why I ordered it haha.
This cocktail has a rather unique taste in my opinion with the combination of Basil and Lemon! Little bit of sour with little bit of pepper-ness and with little bit of sweetness haha.
Time for the FOOD!~
There are in total 5 starters, 2 main course and 2 desserts! <3
Let's get the #nomnom going :)
The first starter that was served: Pulled Pork, Chili and Purple Slaw Sliders ($13)!!
The pork has a very unique grilled taste which I really like and along with the combination of the chili and purple slaw, awesome (Y)!
Next starter is the Wagyu Beef with Gorgonzola and Onion Marmalade Sliders ($14)!
Unfortunately, I couldn't try this dish out because I cannot eat Beef due to my religious beliefs! >_< But according to the other bloggers, the Wagyu Beef meatball is juicy and tasty :)
This one over here is one of my favorite starters! It's called Huevos con Chorizo which consists of Crushed Omelette with Chorizo and slices of toasted Ciabatta :) The price for this starter has not been decided yet as it is a new dish which will be launched in the new Chinese New Year Brunch menu :)
You may eat this in whatever way you like but the recommended way to eat this is to put a bit of the Crushed Omelette with Chorizo on top of the Ciabatta toast and eat it together haha.
What you'll end up getting will be these 3 words: Crunchy, creamy and IRRESISTABLE!!
(That's why it's one of my fave, you have to try this! ^_^)
The Sobrassada and Gorgonzola Bruschetta ($10.50)! This dish is similar to the Huevos con Chorizo but it is much more spicy though >_< If you like spicy food, this will be the one for you!
Another favorite of mine is the Ricotta, Mango, Walnuts and Honey Bruschetta ($9)! ^_^
Normally, I don't really eat mango because a lot of the mango that I eat tends to be rather sour so I tend to avoid eating mango all at once (yeah I know it's not good for your health cuz fruits are important in your diet ><) but this starter tastes EXTREMELY good!! The mango and bruschetta along with the ricotta gives a sweet and creamy combination that balances each other really well and the end result are happy taste buds and stomach hahaha
(This is a must try! (Y) )
Moving onto main course! :)
The first main course on the menu is the Wagyu Beef and Rosemary Balls with Onion & Red Wine sauce & Mashed Potato ($19.50)!!
Like the previous beef starter, I couldn't try this course out as well so I can't give you a review on how it tastes >_< But it sure looks delicious!! ^_^
The next main course is the Iberico Pork and fennel with salsa verde & fresh papardelle ($19.50)! :)
Personally, I find that the Iberico Pork meatball is fragrant and taste well balanced. :)
Texture wise is on drier side though as compared to the Pull Pork starter.
After the main courses, it's time for desserts hehe :)
Lemon Merengue with Caramelised Pineapple and Pistachios ($12)!
I find this dessert way too sour for me though :(
But if you enjoy sour food, I guess you'll be able to appreciate this better than I do.
Here comes my ultimate favorite: White Chocolate Cheesecake with Almond Crumble and Berries ($12)!!!
This is a MUST order!! The white chocolate, berries and almond crumble at the bottom have the BEST combo ever seriously!! Sweet, crispy and cheesy but yet at the same time not overpowering! Seriously awesome and I will definitely be coming back for more! :)
An awesome night at Club Meatballs and I'll definitely visit again with ma boy to introduce him the good food haha :)
It was great meeting fellow bloggers, Little Miss Honey and Miss Chocoholic, who were there at the Domino's Pizza Gold Rush Party as well too haha. ^_^
Club Meatballs also has a sister cafe, Sarnies, and sister restaurant, The Lokal, too! ^_^ All three of them are currently having 1-for-1 promotion deals on The Entertainer App so be sure to check them out for both good food and awesome discounts!! :D
