Ewha Summer Studies Day #19 : Everland

Throwback to Day 19 of my time in Korea!

We went on a field trip organized by Ewha University to the Everland Theme Park!!!

Everland is like half theme park half zoo kinda place so it's really interesting!!

Field trips are weekly organized by Ewha to bring us around popular places of Korea and Everland is seriously super popular among the locals cuz a lot of our PEACE buddies are super excited about this field trip and has the highest attendance among all the other field trips!! :)

This is actually my second time here at Everland and initially, I was planning to skip this field trip as I've been there before alrdy. However, YX convinced me to go for it as it would have been very expensive to go to Everland on our own and moreover, she has not been there before so we both decided to go and I'm so glad that I decided to go to Everland because so much has changed since the last time I visited it (the last time I went was during their winter season)!

And also because this time I went during the summer times, the animals at certain areas of the theme park are more active and we got to saw phenomenal, once-in-a-lifetime moments!! :)

The weather is seriously damn goooood (but hot) when we were there! So damn thankful seriously! Imagine walking around the theme park in the rain? It would have spoil mood much so really thankful!

They have a new Kpop Hologram theatre which features hologram concert to sort of give a more realistic feel of what a real concert will be like. And all the shows are featuring YG Entertainment artistes and of course, Big Bang is one of them so it's a must watch for me hahaha. 

This is how it looks like inside and they have booths inside to take a photo of yourself and your picture will be featured during the show itself! The members will also randomly choose the pictures taken during the show, and I'm GOD DAMN HAPPY that I GOT CHOSEN BY TOP AND MADE IT TO THE TOP among all the others that were chosen!! HAHAHAHAHA

Cheap thrill much but it's okay hahaha we're cool! *wink*

One of the staffs at the park sprayed water into a heart shape on to the floor! So cute!! :)

Viking ship!! Seriously very thrilling and this is as much as me and YX can endure!!

We were actually talking about taking up the challenge to ride a roller coaster, but after taking the viking ride, we gave up on roller coaster hahaha

Take this viking one already feel like puking already but it was kinda fun for me though ^^

Ferris wheel!! Cannot take this cuz YX got height phobia 

The view is seriously super pretty!!!

This place has like tons of light bulbs for couples to write down their names for memorial purposes and look what I found on this bulb!! Somebody loves Jung Yong Hwa from CN Blue~~~ HAHAHAHA

Water parade show! Me and YX didn't participate cuz we didn't wanna get wet so be prepared if you're planning to join in! :)

And if you pass by  these Ching-gay alike vehicles, please beware that they can spray water out of the vehicles at any moment!!! 

We kenna sprayed and ran away after that to avoid getting even more wet lolol

Moving on to the more zoo-like attractions at the theme park!

You get to have pony and camel riding experiences here but of course, they are too small for adults to ride though.

Chipmunk enclosure! One chipmunk is jumping down from the tubes! They move god damn fast seriously.

There are two kinds of animal enclosure tours in Everland (I forgot the exact name of the tours and rides lardy so sorry ><)

One brings you to meat eaters and the other to the safer for humans animal enclosures!

We went to the non-carnivorous safari ride first hahaha

At the non-carnivorous safari tour ride, you get to see the animals suuuuper up close if they approach your vehicle just like the camel did in the picture below!

We didn't take the car special tour though cuz that one requires paying (A LOT) more money but it'll definitely bring you great close up experiences with the animals :)

This is the prices that you'll need to pay for the more specialized tours!

And here comes the epic moment...

A baby giraffe decides to put his head into our vehicle for food!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO GOD DAMN UP CLOSE MAN SERIOUSLY I WAS LIKE OMG ALL THE WAY SIA!!! 100% NO ZOOM OR ANYTHING USED AHH!!!

CANNOT BELIEVE MY EYES MAN!!!

You don't get to experience this kind of stuffs in Singapore Zoo definitely (unless you're rich of coz)!

Just to add on, the animals are not being forced to approach our vehicles or whatsoever so they just come and go as they like! Meaning to say...WE ARE GOD DAMN LUCKY TO HAVE THIS HAPPENING SERIOUSLY!!!

After finishing the non-carnivorous tour ride, we went for the carnivorous safari tour ride!!

No queue on an early Friday morning hahaha

Good thing we went for the super popular attractions first because by the time we finished all the popular rides it's already around lunch time and the queues became super long!! Phew!!

The other time when I was here during the winter, the queue was god damn long too cuz we came in the afternoon. So be sure to visit as Everland as early as possible, best on weekdays mornings, to avoid spending time queuing!

These were the number of wildlife that were in the safari when we were there!!

So sad that we didn't get to see the white leos, hyenas and thibetanus cuz they were sleeping at a very far corner when we were there :(

LIGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's my first time seeing a Liger!! *^_^*

After the Zootopia ride, we went into the gift shop and they have super kawaii white tiger plushies (just had to take a photo with it hahaha). Oh and the Zootopia sign back there rings the bell in my mind of the ride name hahaha

After that we had lunch at one of the food stores near Zootopia and the chicken tastes REALLY good I swear!! Tender and juicy :)

Wasn't expecting that though cuz the food at theme park are normally really dry and patchy! (Y)

Afterwards, we took the sky rider back up to go back to the entrance as it's almost our meeting time to go back to Ewha already!

And during the ride, YX was TERRIFIED and I could not stop laughing.

You know why I can't stop laughing? Cuz although it was quite high up (but still not as high as viking imo), the ride was super slow and steady and she was like FROZEN and dare not move!!! So I can't help but laughed and when I laughed, the whole seat shook and she told me "STOP LAUGHING!!! VERY SCARY DE LEHH!!" and that made me laugh non-stop!!! LOLOLOLOL

I'm sorry YX. But I just can't help it hahahahahaha

Anyway, we came back to our dorm at around 5pm in the evening and decided that this is a good opportunity to order Jajangmyeon delivery cuz we were god damn shagged by the time we reached our dorm!! And the noodles are OIISHIIDESU MAN!!!!!! Sigh makes me miss Korea very much!! Sobs

That marks the end of Day #19 and it was a very eye opener day especially with the safari rides and Big Bang hologram concert show!! :DDD

Be sure to include Everland into your itinerary when you're here in Korea!! I had lots of fun even though I'm not really a theme park person, so that means it's really fun okay hahaha!! ^_^
