Ewha Summer Studies Day #16 - 18 : Running Man at Ewha x Bauhouse x Namdaemun Hotteok

On Day 16 of my time here in Korea!

We were supposed to go to Namdaemun market to have some oiishii Hotteok for lunch but we ended up spotting SBS's camera man when we were going out of Ewha university!

And after that, we decided to follow the camera man and there's a large pool of people outside Top Ten (a Korean fashion store)!!!

And you know what!!!

Turns out that Running Man was filming upstairs of this building!!! *SHOCK OF MY LIFE*

They even have this temporary ice cream booth with signage stating the commemoration of Running Man's 4th Anniversary and Gary's stress face hahaha

The stylists of the crew came down from this car!

The crowd got bigger and bigger as the time past!!

AND HERE COMES ALL THE RUNNING MAN MEMBERS!!!

It still feels kinda surreal that I got to see them in person but it's truly a once in a lifetime experience to see Running Man filming! It's probably never gonna happen in Singapore cuz I guess Singapore is too small for them to run around in my opinion hahaha

Next moving on to Day 17!!

Our plans for today was to visit YG Entertainment and cafe hopping! :)

We had lunch at Jinguksoo again!

They don't taste as good as they look though. The first round was better. ><

We then went to visit YG Entertainment to see what a KPOP start agency looks like from the outside haha

Turns out that it was smaller than we thought it would be and it's tugged in a quiet area for such a famous company! :O

Even though it was raining, there were fans outside the building as well waiting to see some YG artistes! We managed to get a glimpse of a few members of Winner when we were there (and we were there for only about 10-15mins?) :)

Directions to YG Entertainment:
1) Alight at Hapjeong Station and exit at Exit 8.
2) You'll then see a SK Gas Station ahead and walk straight on that stretch of road till you see a second SK Gas Station!
3) Once you reach the second SK Gas Station, you'll see Namkyong Motel! Turn into the lane where Namkyong motel is and walk till you see a laundromat store and you'll see YG Entertainment :)

It's quite easy to spot it cuz most probably there will be fan girls outside the building waiting for the stars :)

----------

After visiting YG Entertainment, we went to a dog cafe called Bauhouse which is situated at Hapjeong as well just that you need to exit at Exit 3 instead. You'll see a signage once you've come out from Exit 3 saying Bauhouse Cafe on a black shiny building where it points towards an alley. Walk into that alley and you'll see the cafe! :)

You'll need to purchase a beverage with them in order to gain entrance into the dog cafe and just a heads up, their beverages are quite expensive. :/

But it's worth it considering you get to spend time with so many cute dogs all at one time :) Not that you can experience that at a cheap price in Singapore too ><

This one was sleeping beside our table haha

Waiting for the snacks !! ^_^

This dog is god damn huge I swear and I was kinda scared to touch it but turns out he's really friendly :)

That's what you get when you have treats in your hand!

Me and YX didn't bought any treats though cuz YX is kinda allergic to fur so she won't be able to endure so many dogs near us all at one go (and also the treats aren't cheap as well).

We then realize that the we were kinda sitting in the wrong section because the big dogs only approach people who have treats in their hands, so we went to the small dogs section in the front part of the cafe instead!! :)

They are so awesomely cute!!!!!!

This pomeranian over here is the prettiest among all the dogs!

However, this corgi is my favorite of all! Super obedient and cute!! :)

A list of all the dogs in the cafe with their names, gender, age and image on it :)

After spending our time in the cafe, we decided to walk to Sangsu-dong from Hapjeong area!

We were actually planning to go to a cafe street along Sangsu-dong, which one of the tourist book we picked up at the tourist centre recommended, but we didn't managed to find the street and also a cafe that intrigues us so we didn't continue with our cafe hopping. And before we even knew it, we reached Hongdae all the way from Hapjeong hahahahaha

We end up decided to just wander around Hongdae and have dinner at Kongbul!!! :)

This is what Kongbul looks like and it tastes awesome :)

It comes with udon, meat as well as rice which will be fried close to the end of the meal :)

Moving on to Day 18!! :)

We went to Namdaemun Market to finally get my Hotteok's craving fixed which we've missed during Day 16 due to Running Man filming haha!!!

And I tell you, Namdaemun Market has the bestttttt Hotteok everrrrrr!!!

But take note! It's not just any Hotteok stalls in Namdaemun that tastes good! It's only this stall right beside Gate 2 of Namedaemun Market that has the heavenly taste Hotteok!!!

There's always a long queue for this stall's hotteok because it's super good and cheap!! Only 1000won for one yachae (vegetable) hotteok and 700won for honey hotteok. SO CHEAP!!!!

But I highly recommend getting the vegetable one because it's super good and filling! That one hotteok is full enough for one meal I swear, so totally worth it!! :)

When I was here during the winter back in January, the queue was just as long as well so you can already imagine how good it tastes and how popular it is to have locals queuing for it even in super cold temperature! *^o^*

This is how the 야채호떡 - Vegetable Hotteok looks inside! They fill it up with not just vegetables but also japchae inside which is what makes it taste so nice and different from other kinds of Hotteok! :)

Taste awesome good (Y)

I really HIGHLY recommend you guys to try out this stall's Vegetable Hotteok when you come to Namedaemun Market! :) It's just right beside Gate 2 of Namdaemun Market so it's very easy to locate as well :D

But do note that their hotteoks usually get sold out by around 3 - 4pm! There was one time where we were queuing halfway around 4pm and it got sold out even before our turn. I was so god damn disappointed man so be sure to go there early to avoid any disappointment!!

After getting our hotteoks, we went on to wander around Namdaemun Market before we walked to Myeongdong and I went on a frenzy skincare & makeup shopping over there haha

Too frenzy till I forgot to take pics hahaha

That marks the end of my Day 16 - 18 in Korea! :) Do stay tune to my next post for the rest of my days in Korea during my summer studies program with Ewha!~

Till next time, annyeong!! ^_^
