It's finally time for a second update for my Clarisonic Mia 2!
My purging phase back in my 1st update has long past already and my skin condition, especially my skin texture has improved quite a lot ever since but at a slow and steady rate.
After using my Delicate brush head for 3 months (recommended max usage period per brush head by Clarisonic), I decided to replace it with the Luxe Cashmere Cleanse brush head! :)
I've been using the Luxe brush head for approximately 2 months already so it's a good time to talk about it :)
This is how the packaging looks like for the Delicate brush head (my first brush head) and the Luxe brush head! :)
The reason why I chose the Luxe one is because the bristles of the brush head is extremely soft when I first touch it and I was curious how it will feel on my skin!
As you can see, the bristles of the Luxe brush head is much longer than the Delicate ones (same goes to the others which does not belong to the Luxe series) so it's suppose to be much gentler on the skin compared to the normal shorter brush heads.
In addition, they are also meant to provide more hydration to our skin compared to the normal brush heads because the long bristles are able to trap more moisture.
Luxe's bristles are much finer than the Delicate ones as well in order to cater to people with extremely sensitive skin!
My verdict of the Luxe Cashmere brush head:
Pros:
1) Really super gentle on the skin!
2) Feels very soft and comfy
3) Skin does not feel dry after use
Cons:
1) It itches my nose every single time (I have a sensitive itchy nose)!
2) Because more water and cleanser is being trapped inside the bristles so when my Mia 2 powers up, the mixture of water and cleanser will fly all over my face and it annoys me because it always gets into my eyes and stings my eyes!!!
3) And due to its long bristles, the drying time is much longer (it almost never dries actually)
4) Doesn't help much with my bumpy skin texture as compared to the Delicate brush head (maybe due to it's extreme softness?).
5) Unable to fit into the travel case together with the Mia 2 because it's too big
6) The most expensive brush head
Rating:
2.5/5
As much as I wanted to like it, I really didn't enjoy using it.
Although I do feel that the Luxe brush heads gave me more hydration compared to the Delicate ones, it did not fix my main problem - bumpy skin texture as well as the Delicate ones did.
Therefore, I think the Luxe brush heads are only meant for people who has extremely sensitive and/or dry skin, so if your skin is on the normal to slight sensitive side like mine, please do not get the Luxe brush heads. The Delicate ones are more worthy and have much better cleansing power compared to the Luxe ones and you can use them without getting your eyes irriated!!
I will definitely not repurchase this brush head again after I've finished using the ones I still have as back up. Look at all the cons man. Sigh >_<

Overall, frankly speaking, my Clarisonic Mia 2 did not actually perform any instant magic or whatsoever in terms of improving my skin condition. It is something that has to be used over a long period of time religiously in order to be able to witness results on your face. So, you really gotta have faith and be patient with it! (Ma boy got one Mia 2 for himself too just few days ago hehe so have faith kay, it will work :D)
But I would say, it does a great job in removing make up and impurities on my face and whenever I use it, I really enjoy the gentle facial massages from the vibrations that the Mia 2 produces (but no to irritated eyes). :)
Definitely going back to the Delicate brush head soon!!
I can't wait to stop having cleanser stinging my eyes!!!
I would like to say that this blog really convinced me to do it! Thanks, very good post.
